The simple answer is no. Some stains can fall under ‘permanent stains’ and can be caused by any form of liquid substance that comes into contact with your car’s surface whether it’d be the paintwork, upholstery, leather and so on. Almost all stains can be removed, if treated quickly enough, whilst the stain is still fairly fresh. However, most stains will become permanent if left unattended for too long. As an example, bird droppings are notorious for leaving stains on the car when left for extended periods. With the combination of heat and time, these stains etch further into the clear coat to develop into permanent stains. Over time, stains absorb into the fabric and permeate deeper into the fibres/fabric/surface. For car interiors, the stains begin to react with the fabric’s dye of which will result in a chemical change of the upholstery’s colour. Stains will commonly cause light fabric surfaces to turn darker and vice versa. These colour changes in the fabric are almost always permanent. Continued attempts to remove permanent stains will cause dye loss or fabric damage, known as fraying and irreversible.
